Thanks for the information.  I think I'll take a pass on it.  The best book on the subject is Donovan's book PT-109.  It was well researched and a very good read.  If you haven't read it find a copy or pick up the audio tape if you can find it.

 Thanks again!

Just looking at the whole thing objectively, and not having read the book, I think a whole lot of assuming is going on among the authors of that little expedition. All they found was something that may - or may not - be one of the torpedo tubes. Said tube may - or may not - have belonged to a PT-type boat. I think Dr. Ballard is starting to push the limits of what the public will pay attention to and believe when it comes to hunting historic shipwrecks. But ... that's just me.

I`ve seen the book briefly and the only photos of the wreck are one of the torpedo tubes resting on the bottom. There isn`t anything else, photo wise, of value. I can`t say anything about the book as I didn`t read it so it may make an interesting read.

Has anyone purchased this book?  Is there anything, particularly photographs that would be of benefit to modeling the 109?

Thanks/Dave
