USS Arizona info needed...
Posted by Zero Enna on Saturday, December 16, 2006 6:22 PM

I've just purchased the Revell of Germany 1/720 kit... What can I say about it?... Oh, yeah, A LITTLE DISASTER... lots of flash, badly injected pieces and very bad fit... but I think that after a little work, it should look good... so I need a lot of info, like plans, and even some photos of larger scale USS Arizona's kits... Thanks in advance. regard.

José.

drop me an email. i am building a 3d model of arizona (and will start woeking on trumpeter 1/350 w/ pe shortly) and have plans, photos, models, books, etc. did you know they just discovered the top of nos. 1, 2, 4 gunturrets were painted red at pearl harbor. the forward colors were for the ship id and the aft color was for the float plane squadron id. once i get some experience back with ship models may try to do a 10dec41 arizona using the revel 1/426 model.

If you're looking for a great reference book on the Arizona, try Stillwell's Battleship Arizona.  You can get it here: http://www.amazon.com/Battleship-Arizona-Illustrated-Paul-Stillwell/dp/0870210238
