Trumpeter CV-3 Saratoga questions ???

I've built the Lexington in pre-war configuration. Nice kit, but the addition of Tom's Modelworks detail set really brings it to life. Safety nets around the edges of the flight deck, etc. Glad to see somebody finally issued a kit of this long neglected class of ship. Now, howsa bout the original Enterprise and Yorktown !!

Trumpeter ships are well worth the money.  I'm building the USS Essex and USS England right now.  Fit isn't perfect, you have to do a lot of filling and sanding, but I've built worse.  Considering they're the only game in town for 1/350th scale plastic carriers, I'm willing to do a little more work for the final result.

I do have the CV-2 Lexington but have not started it yet so I can't help as far as any fit problems. The plastic isn't very soft and the details come out well. From just kind of dry fitting some of the major pieces together it looks like the deck to hull portion might have some fit issues. The hull can be built either full or waterline. As far as is it worth the money, I would have to say yes it is. I paid only a little more for this kit than I did for the Mr. Hobby 1/350 Lusitania and I feel it is a much better kit than the Lucy.
