Try calling them again.  I lost a gear door to a tamiya p-51 and called their toll free number.  They sent out a replacement part no questions asked the next day.  Heck, they even called me back later the day I called to tell me they had the part in stock and it would ship.

Doesnt matter, Tamiya does not return phonecalls like they say they do.  I am such a proponent of Tamiya on this board.  I am always praising their kits.  No more, I am really irritated for losing 40bucks and them not having the decency to follow up a customer concern. Thats it for me. I found Tamiya America toll free number and called 4 days ago.  Nothing in the way of response.  What a contrast to Accurate.  I had a problem with a canopy on a Dauntless.  I wrote them an email.  About a week later I am walking up to the green on a great tee shot and my cell phone rings.  I figure it is work looking for me.  It was Accurate telling me they put the canopy in the mail.  I guess Tamiya is too big to care about a customer.

Anyone have this?  They gave me the wrong sprue for the 1:700 waterline Yamato.  I paid big money for this kit and have been struggling.  I posted and no one responded.  Turns out, the sprue pieces are molded, probably for a different kit.  They simply don't work.  I am trying to put anti-aircraft guns on these round turrets that have the fronts built up.  I can't explain but the turrets I have do not in any way shape or form look like the directions.  I am really really irritated.
