Been on a forced vacation so sorry i didnt get back to you all. So thanks for the kind words guys, yes ive build both the 7c kits and this thing is huge compared to those. As for RC not my thing i think personelly its a waist of money but thats just my 2cents.

Great build. Am planning on getting one. My uncle was in the sub service in WWII. We're trying to find out exactly which sub he was on. My cousin remembers him saying that it was a Gato class. Soon as we find out..................Let the fun begin.

Great looking job! I got my Gato the other week but still have 2 VIIC's to get through. Just started working on the C/41 last night after a 3 month break. The Gato is huge when placed next to the U-boat.

On the bench: So many hanger queens.

Good Lord, that is a large sub. Thanks for giving me a perspective on how big that kit really is. Though it would look mighty impressive at the local modelclub show.....

That looks great! I love big imposing models! I really want to build that now. Funny I see your Alabama on the shelf. Its my current build, (I'm 5 months into it).

Thanks guys this kit had its moments, and for now this is where its at right in front of all my 1/32 kits the shelf is 6ft3in long so you definety need alot of room.

Well i dont post much here iam more an A/C guy but i do love a sub or two if you want to see the progress here the link to the buildup /forums/15/722246/ShowPost.aspx#722246

OK nets been down almost all day so here are the final pics. All cableing was done with wire twisted to make cable the upper lines comeing from the conning tower are coats&clarks nylon painted black the weathering was done with ground up chalk mixed with water, and the flags where done with silk from one of my dads R/C planes with the decals motherd with decal solvent and let set for 24hr's.
