Sumpter250....So true. How many times have we read an article in FSM of someone doing a major scratch building project, usually the subject is an armor vehicle and than a couple months later, if that long, it comes out as a kit. Still.....scratch built or OOB, it's the fun of building that's importaint.

Let's not forget decals!

I finished off an updated 1/720 USS Enterprise in November as a gift for a friend whose daughter is serving on the Big E, and had to get a lot decals custom made to reflect her 2006 appearance.

So naturally, in December, Gold Medal Models came out with their new 1/700 Enterprise decal sheet ...

I would have had the same low feeling as you if Dragon released their "Korean War" Essex class this year, right after spent all the effort making the scratch parts for the Oriskany.

But now that it is over, I can't wait to see this new release.
