This is for a friend of mine who was on a 95 in Viet Nam. He had, or thought he had a Lindberg kit but has lost it in one of his moves. He has the Airfix Scharnhorst, started, (but not very well) and the Bismarck kit still in the plastic bag original seal. He may be willing to add some $$ but 50 is too high for his price range.

It may take more than two Airfix 1/600 kits to entice a trade.....

Your eBay user ID isn't "eamero", by any chance? If it is, I'm the buyer of your kit. (It actually cost $30, but will probably be around $50 when airmail shipping is added)

To the original poster: A couple of the Airfix 1/600 Kriegsmarine ships are actually quite rare now. I think the Graf Spee, Prinz Eugen and Tirpitz are the rarest, though the latter probably isn't of interest to anyone but kit collectors, being based on the clunky and inaccurate Bismarck kit. So if any of these are the ones you have, you might manage to do a swap, if you can find a 1/600 fan who also happens to have the Lindberg USCG boat!

I'm not totally sure, but this kit -may- be on the list of Lindberg/Pyro subjects reissued by Hawk this year. I'm not sure (they're certainly reissuing the 1/125 minesweeper and some of the landing craft, also some civilian ships like the Nantucket lightship).

For anyone who has the Lindberg Cape-class kit, how good is it in terms of accuracy and detail? (I'm not expecting too much, based on previous experience with Lindberg kits)

D!#$@ airedale.Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]  The Lindberg kit was a 95' CAPE class cutter, usually marketed as the CAPE GULL or CAPE CROSS.  The 82' WPB was the POINT Class.

A friend of mine is looking for the old, I believe it is Lindberg USCGC 'Point' class 95 footer, if anyone has one they would be willing to swap for a couple of old 1/600 Airfix German ships, contact me!

Thanks
