For bryan01: Soleil Royal
Posted by Papillon on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 9:44 AM

Dag Brian,

Groeten Max.

Hello Max,

Out of politeness for the rest of the forum viewers I will answer your questions in English instead of Dutch (BTW I'm not saying you're impolite).

The picture of Soleil Royal's stern by monsieur Boussac isn't in my possession, I got it from the internet, so a bigger scan of it is not possible I'm afraid. That thread however was a great one wasn't it? Very professional with a lot of information.

I, however, would be very interested in your scans of Soleil Royal and Royal Louis. I will send you a pm for those. Thank you very much for your kind offer.

My HMS Prince is on hold for the moment. I wasn't satisfied with the underwater hull. I'm still considering a few other options to get it completely right. I was furthermore thinking about making a trip to the UK this year so I can see the model in the Science Museum for my self and make pictures of it.

Until then I'll be working on a model of the Airfix 1:144 Wasa. This model is also being turned into some sort of dockyard model, just like HMS Prince. No unplanked underwater hull this time, only partially planked decks and a scratch build interior along with some other modifications.
