My 1/32 PT-BOAT gunboat
Posted by Plasticbender on Thursday, February 1, 2007 9:07 AM

This was a project based on the Limberg RC PT-Boat, the only things used for this build was the hull, deck and pilot house and even those needed modifications, everithing else is from scracht.

This was no easy project but I enjoy it very much, so much I will buy the new 1/35 Italiery kit and make another boat maybe green or the "zebra camo" that's going to look cool in this scale.

Hope you like it.

Really nice job Fred.  That is some well executed scratchbuilding.
No matter where you go ....... there you are.

Fred, I'm very familiar with that kit and you did a bang up job.  Congratulations on some very nice work!

The Italeri kit is the same version that you worked so hard to scratch build.  However you will find it a joy compared to what you went through.  I just received mine a couple of days ago.  There are some opportunities to improve just like any kit.  But for the most part out of the box it's a quality kit.  I'm sure you'll love it.  Good luck!

Dave, thanks for the info on the new kit I am making my order next week. I have seen the photos on the forum of the new kit built and painted and look GREAT, as you said with a little attention to detail this Italery kit will become a classic. The detailing potential is endless!!!

Again thanks to my fellow modellers for the kind words on this project.
