Nice clean build, MM.  I built this once as the USS Tacoma, since I live next to Tacoma and that's where these unique gunboats were built.  Each one had two huge turbojet engines, aluminum construction and shallow-draft hulls that made them ideal for riverine operations.

 They are handsome looking vessels and very well armed for their size.  Nice job and thanks for sharing.

Many thanks for your kind words! Do you know whether this type of boat was used in Vietnam? Someone asked me but I don't know.

Yeah, the Ashevilles were in Market Time (TF 144?--I hate being away from reference material, but, "I owe, I owe, it's off to work I go" as the song says . . . <g>)

They were used in the coastal interception mission.  I recall that there are a number of really nice photographs of them on station, even a couple performing boat stops.

Classic USN grey paint schemes, too; no vague "might have been green, or camoflaged" references at all.
