Is there a plastic kit available that would form a good basis for modification into a 1/100 scale brig or ship rigged sloop ca 1800?   I am mainly after the hull, and it would be fine if the kit is in a different scale but is of the correct hull shape for conversion into 1/100 scale sloop.

Have you looked at the 1/100 Zvezda "English Brigantine", kit no. 9011? It is a re-issue of the old Heller kit no. L955. It retails for between $45-60. I'm not sure it is what you are looking for but it may fit the bill. I have both kits in my collection with the Heller already built and the Zvezda kit still in the box if you want pics, just email me.

Hmmm, I've not seen that one before.   I like to build it, with appropriate modifications, into a naval sloop.   Would it be suitable?

As to suitability for your purpose.....

email me directly and I can send photos of the built and unbuilt kits to you for you to decide.
