Stalingrad class Soviet battlecruiser question
Posted by Gerarddm on Monday, February 19, 2007 12:40 AM
Anybody know if anybody has ever put out a kit for the never-was Soviet 1950s era Stalingrad battlecruiser? A very tasty looking thing, indeed.

AFAIK no one has done this ship. The source of many "never were" ships was IHP and this was never on their roster. I bought their South Dakota (not the WW2 SoDak but the one scrapped in accordance with the Washington Naval Arms Conference) and Lexington (the battlecruiser converted to the WW2 era aircraft carrier) in their original design configurations and they were truly gorgeous kits. Unfortuneately almost all of that company's never weres are no out of production. BTW, they were in 1/700. WS

The Combrig page at SteelNavy lists a Stalingrad heavy cruiser as a forthcoming project.  1:700 scale
