Trumpeter 1/200 Arizona in our future?
Posted by jamnett on Saturday, February 24, 2007 12:37 AM

I came across some highly interesting news while browsing www.freetimehobbies.com.  It seems that Trumpeter is expected to release a larger scale USS Arizona sometime in the future.  It would appear this is not the premature news of the maybe--might do--could be type, as the photo shows an item number (kit number for Trump) on the top of a box.

If this comes to pass let's hope the thing is of decent quality, accuracy, etc., because it will probably be spendy, but finally we may have a nice large scale for us old timers with weak eyes and shaky hands to work with.

If this is a decent kit with real potential, I'll make room for it.

The word from the recent hobby shows has been that they will indeed release a 1/200 Arizona.   No word yet, that I've seen, on the contents or quality of the kit.

A 1/200th Arizona would be great, if only it doesn't cost a small fortune. Let's hope that Trumpeter will keep the price down and maybe come out with more battleships in the future.
