You may want to look at the Tom's Modelworks wedsite.

He has a 1/350 hanger deck insert (#TC3506 for $55.00) precut to the dimensions of the Enterprise model.

All you have to do is create supports for the deck and paint the brass.

The advantages of working in something other than 1/700 scale. Your modifications and additions look spot on from what I can see. Keep the pics coming.

Looking good! I put one together while station on Okinawa in 86. Had also sctatched built the hanger deck and used the Gold Metal products to finish the ship off. If there is a hanger detail set on the market, I'd go for it, will make building it easier in the end. Key is not to rush a project such as this one. If I keep looking at these photo's I'm going to want to run out and buy another.

She's gorgeous.  I fell in love with that kit and have wanted one from the first time I saw it. You are doing her justice and I'll be watching your progress.
