Or, Nothing.

After a build like that, I would wake one morning 20 years later and think "Huh, I really built that all by myself didn't I" That is when it pays off.

I can't remember if it was a link in these forums that I followed, or a series of links from here - but recently I came across a 1/72-scale escort carrier model - it was located in an aviation (or military, but all I saw in the background were aircraft) and had a full complement of 1/72 Helldivers, Avengers and Hellcats, all in correct squadron and individual markings.  Impressive!  And so is this!

I think your talking about Bill Waldorf's 1/72 scale 8' Long USS Wolverine. He scratch built it. It was a Great Lakes training carrier, one of two that was powered by a paddle. It was in the April 06 FSM.

It should be noted here, that a past issue of F.S.M. has an article of a HUGE group built project. This involved several groups in 1/72 scale, one group built a fiberglass hull Enterprise{CV-6}, and others built all aircraft and misc. equipment used in WWII. It now resides at the Oshkosh airport, home of the worlds greatest air show. You can see this model anytime the areas normal hours of opperation.
