Yamato wreck site pics?

Thanks for the assist.  My son loved the pics and is asking for more.  Knowing him, he probably won't be happy til there's a book about as big as those about Titanic's wreck.  He's already asking if I'm going to build a diorama of the wreck and I had to break the bad news that a Titanic wreck diorama's about all I'll have patience for(someday).

Back in the 80s the Japanese were thinking of bringing her back up.  That's not about to happen now.

I just watched last night on PBS a Nova ; Sinking the Supership. A Nova special on the sinking of the Yamato, they found her 1,200 feet down in 2 pieces, the forward section sitting upright, the stern half upside down. They have incredible shots of how she looks today, and showed wartime archives of her building and at sea. This is a MUST see for those of us who are interested in WWII.

How far down is she?  She could have easily ended p at the bottom of one of the deep spots in that area.

I found this for you.  The diorama's show the incredible devastation to the wreck.  Obviously a section was obliterated in the explosion.  Look at the three torpedo hole in the bow section.
