Russian R/C Destroyer on ebay check out pic's Whoa!

Seems to me that it might a bit difficult for this model to 'work' if it is dragging a bunch of cables around underneath it...... I remember the old Tamiya 'RC' tanks that were connected to a controller by wires, but I think a boat might have some problems with that!  It IS however very cool that you can use the original ships gear to conduct operations with the model though.....

The "R" in RC means REMOTE control in this case.

That is why you see wires hanging out of the bottom, and you see all the control parafinalia. The ship is actually controlled by the steering and throttle gear you see pictured in the room This also accounts for the price,... you are getting pieces of an actual Russian destroyer in this auction. Along with a working model that is controlled in a true to life fashion.

 

WOW...... $18,000 was the price tag of this item?  No thanks, I can buy lots of models for that kind of price.  However, it definitely was interesting to look at.

Of course. As long as there are no explosives, no one cares. All this is written-off equipment; it is thrown away anyway. It's just a souvenir or two from his days in Army.

I used to build R/C years ago. Never saw anything that good in all my travels. True, there are some small details that could have been added or improved upon, but the finish is really good. Working missle launchers would give it that certain touch. My fleet never came close to that finish. Would have helped if I had a spray gun.
