Thanks for the comments mfsob, I did try to replicate the teak decking but made it very faint. The "fun" part always makes me put it bakck in the box for another month to get more motivation.

I'm not an expert on HM ships, but didn't the KGV have at least some wooden decks? And I'm reasonably sure the RN painted everything gray, including the life rafts. Your basic assembly looks nice and clean, now comes the, ahem, fun part - allllllllllll the tiny little details?

Hi all, this is my 1/700 Tamiya King George V kit. As you can see, it is not done yet. Here are some pics. Any questions, comments or critiscim is welcome. This is my first surface ship I've built. The splotchy deck paint job is a result of a failed attemp to provide a weatherd look. I'm not to worried about this kit because I got if off of ebay for 99 cents. Live and Learn.
