A sickening slide aka the PE crack junkie

Well, I have never had any PE experience, so of course Dummy here has to start by doing GMM's PE fret for the 1/700 Tamiya Yamato. Big mistake. After some severe trepidation ( see an earlier thread ) I have been wading through delicately detaching, sanding, positioning, and superglueing myriad rails, stairways, cranes, catapaults, etc. And the horror, the horror, I'm in heaven. I'm ENJOYING this as I slowly get the hang of it.

I need to start a PE 12-step group. When, with bated breath, I finished the crane assembly, I literally shouted out loud ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? It was just so beautiful and detailed, and SO worth the effort. Now I feel like a detail crack junkie. When I get home from work I MUST do more PE. Aaargh. I have started down the slippery slope to true detail analdom and there's no reversing this sickening slide. Thank you, thank you thank you. O dear.
