Mission markings and campaign ribbons
Posted by Beau Mansfield on Saturday, June 23, 2007 3:20 AM
Hi Guys,

I am looking for a web site which shows and explains the awards, mission markings and campaign ribbons that are painted on the sides of the island structure on all modern U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers.

If any of you help that would be really great.

Thanks,

Regards,

Beau.

The above information accompanies the Iron Shipwright flag & bridge-wing salad bar decal set.

For additional information you may go to www.navy.mil and put ribbon into the search tool.

Also, if you're going to model a specific ship at a given moment in time, be aware that the number of markings can change dramatically over time, both in the number of categories and in the hash marks under or next to each category device.
