Modern warships hulls are welded, you can only see them if you are very close. On scale models this is too small . Keep it as it is. Only in 1940's and before you may see panel lines. Example: Hms Hood bow has panel lines, the Bismarck hull is clean, no panel lines because the hull is all welded, like modern warships.
However some hull details are important to 1:200 scale, try look for them, in case they are missing .

You are correct, the hull is mostly smooth. There are small panel seams where the ribbing is, but they are barely visible unless you are right next to it. Don't worry about scribing, unless you want to depict the waterline bilge pumps.

Correct me if I'm out of line here, but isn't that hull welded and ground smooth (no lines)?

Can anyone tell me where to find some detailed drawings or pictures of the USS Enterprise CVN 65? I'm building the Revell 1/200 scale model and I need to find reference photos of the hull so I can scribe the panel lines.
