That would really be an excellent price for the cruisers since Hasegawa's Soya is over $50.00 and I-400 which is only 13" is also over $50.00.

Really looking foward to that kit and Trumpeters San Francisco

It was in this FSM thread from back in late May (info courtesy of yunos-jp).

There's also a link in the same thread that mentions expected June & July releases, respectively, of 1/350 Takao and Chokai kits from Aoshima (credit to EdGrune for that link).

Credit where credit is due.

** Update - the Aoshima website states that the Takao is due out at the end of July 2007 and Chokai is due out at the end of August 2007 (both 7800 Yen, about $63.30 USD).  They also list a PE set for Takal at 2800 Yen.  And they list a "super-detailed" full-hull 1/700 Nagato due out in early July 2007 (4000 Yen).

It's on the cover of Squadron's July catalogue and it sure looks good. I saw some sprue shots of it somewhere but I can't recall what site. Apparently it can be built with a cutaway-view hangar to show the aircraft.

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone heard anything or read any reviews about Tamiya's  Japanese I-400  in 1/350.  I'm not much a sub person but I've always like this sub. It would be a cool sub to start with.

:)
