in wwii the japanese used some really crazy of the wall camo on there decks (no disrepect to the japanese intended) i was looking around but can't find any, are there ref. to either the germans or any allied nation using that kind of wacky camo scheme

The Germans, no, for the simple reason that they never managed to complete a single aircraft carrier.

As far as I know, and I'm no expert, the US Navy stuck to monochrome finishes for all of its carrier decks, although the vertical surfaces could be quite another matter depending on which Measure scheme was being used. I believe the British were the same way.

So Royal Navy carriers--both fleet carriers and escort carriers--used camouflage patterns on their flight decks. Not sure if you'll find online pics, but there are plenty of published photos in books.
