Benny

I remember the artilce but I don't remember the item he used. One thing I know you might be able to use is called "Super Scale Krystal Clear" or "Micro Scale Krystal Clear". When it is wet it is white but when it dries it becomes clear. What you can do is put a small amount on the tip of a needle for sewing clothes. Or something like that but larger if the porthole is too big and touch it to the porthole and make a skin over the hole. Just enough to cover the hole you don't want it to make a bubble or a raised dome. When it dries it will be clear and will look like a piece of glass. I hope this helps If you would like I can hunt down the article and go over it for you and see if I could explain it better. If you want to e-mail me please do at wespe@bellsouth.net

Hello Benny,

On the USS Texas I used PhotoCut (business name) rings to represent the port-holes on the ship. These are very nice and small photo etched rings. Fred - the owner of the business, makes many different sizes of rings. If you need his contact info let me know.

Cheers,

Derek
