Any idea of a release date ?
Posted by DanCooper on Tuesday, July 31, 2007 5:29 AM

While browsing online I found this little gem, however, the Italeri site doesn't mention any release date for it, anyone around with some inside information maybe ?

By the way anyone else who thinks that Italeri is making a genieous move by including a picture reference booklet AND PE in their new kits ?  Smile [:)]

The inclusion of resin, and PE parts ( multimedia kits ) has been increasing throughout the industry. Modelers are going to buy these parts, why not include them.  The "dark side" of this is......will the kit manufacturer do the research to insure that the dressup parts are accurate. Where "detailing" parts were first made by an independent manufacturer, concern for accuracy was the driving force. Will the concern, effort, and time be allotted by the kit manufacturers? Only time will tell.

It's already out in Europe. Hannants have it for £13.99 (approx USD28.00). Remember that it's only about 6 2/3" long...

Dan,

According to MRC, the kit is due out in the States in September. It's a nice looking kit and the reference book and the photoetched-metal parts are a great idea, particularly for oddball subjects like this where it might be tough to find references elsewhere.

Hope this helps,
