Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 12:16 PM

MY boss at work has seen my model mags and is wanting to pay me to build a replica of his boat. A 27' Larson(SP?) I dont know where I would go about finding these model kits if there even is one.

I could use the airbrush practice and the $ so if you have anything close to or exact it would be thanked muched. please fill me in. I've searched everywhere

I did a search for 27' larson, and came up with several "boatsellers". here is a link to one photo: http://www.usedboats.com/enlarged_photo.php?ga_code=&p=media/images/308299_1.jpeg&name=full%20view  This link may only last until the boat sells (photo) but http://www.usedboats.com might get some other photos.

Kits of this boat may not be available, however,  you could go to Horizon Hobby's website,(or search RC boats) and look to see if it is available as an RC boat, or a boat similar enough to be a good start in a kitbash.

Lead me not into temptation ..................I can find it myself

Mmmm... just a little bit of scratch building, maybe.  One has to do something to please one's boss.  Otherwise... goodbye, promotion.Sad [:(]

Your best chance would be that your boss does not have detailed plans of the boat, so that you could say sorry, bass, no plans, no model. If he does, then hopefully he doesn't want interior detail, so that you could carve the thin g out of o block of balsa.  If he does, then negotiate you promotion first.  If he won't, then model his secretary on one of the bunks!!!Wink [;)]
