I have come across a fascinating book called, "The Illustrated Companion to Nelson's Navy," by Nicholas Blake and Richard Lawrence. It doesn't seem to have great depth, but tremendous breadth of information on life in the navy, the world's navies, construction, rigging, and sailing ships, tactics.... all kinds of stuff. I've been researching square rigging, anyway, and this has given me some greater insight.
I was wondering if any of y'all have looked at this book, and if you think it accurate enough to us as a modelling reference. See "Murphy was modeller."
