You are right. The lifeboats on the Academy kit seem to be more detailed, but it is hard to see if they really are or the builder just did more work on them.

If anybody would know the answer to this it's the people over at http://www.titanic-model.com/

The pictures on that site are so poor that the only difference I can see is that the builder of the Academy Titanic used photo etched railings and the builder of the Revell kit used the kit railings. modelbob@hotmail.com

they seem to be different.

Are the Revell and Academy 1/400 kits of the Titanic same? I built the Revell version

a couple of years ago and would like to build another. Are these kits the same or is one
