Looking for 1/350 quintuple 21" Torpedo Tube mounts
Posted by Aurora-7 on Friday, September 14, 2007 11:43 AM

I have the Trumpeter Sullivans destroyer kit that I want to make into another ship. Trouble is the Trumpeter version has only 1 quintuple torpedo mount (I'm thinking it represents a later war configuration when 1 tube mount was removed to make room for more AA mounts) and I need a second mount to model the ship I want to do (DD-557 Johnston).

At this rate I may either get another Sullivans kit or maybe Tamiya's early Fletcher class model.

Any opinions or suggestions?

Never mind all. I was going of box art without even opening the kit. I now know the kit parts for a 1943 and 1945 fitting (Thank you Michael Benolkin and www.cybermodeler.com).

And thank you, EdGrune for your very kind offer.
