I have a picture of the Civil War era USS HARTFORD taken from an old REVELL catalogue, Can anyone give me some information on this kit as I have never seen one.

The only Hartford I know of is the old Aurora kit. I built one as a teen, in the early 70s. It was about 2+ feet long, and, like the other Aurora large sailing ships, it had the sails and yards molded as one injected piece. (No vac-form sails for Aurora!)

From the same era, Revell had the USS Kearsarge and CSS Alabama. Maybe you have the Kearsarge and the Hartford mixed up?

Thank's , I think you are right,it is an AURORA kit.
Any idea what the scale was?. I have a REVELL CSS ALABAMA, I would like a USS Kearsarge ,but, the one's I've seen on EBAY have been very expensive.

I've been outbid on one on EBAY, I think I'm up against collectors here, rather than people like me who want to build them. I think I'll go back to WW2 1/700 scale warships.
