Thanks Ed, I think between you and the other gentleman I should be in great shape. Any idea what the Modelmaster co;or would be for the Navy Anti Fouling red would be?

In acrylics, if you can find it, MM Acryl II Marine line -- Hull Red.  Its matched to the Snyder & Short paint chips and WEM Colourcoat enamel paint line.  Trouble is that its out of production.

Tamiya's Hull Red is too brown for USN subjects (good for IJN subjects though).

Best bet --check the model railroad side of the hobby shop for Pollyscale/Floquil railroad colors for Mineral Red or Red Zinc Chromate.

My quick & easy choice is American Tradition Red Primer in the jumbo economy-sized rattlecan at Lowes hardware store.

If you are up to it, post pictures of your build up as it comes together from parts to assemblies to a finished model...

The Fed-Std specification for modern US Navy Haze Gray is 26270.  Testors Modelmaster Neutral Gray is 36270.   The difference is semigloss vs flat.   In scale -- you can't tell the differnce in the sheens - go with the flat.

Modern USN deck gray is closly approximated by Gunship Gray.   There is not a Fed-Std number that I'm aware of.   Newly applied it is darker (Engine Gray ?) and rapidly fades to Gunship.

Gentlemen, I am building a Tien Jie 1/200 scale model of the New Jersey battleship latest modern version, and need the paint specs. I would prefer a latex paint if possible, like Testers Model Master. What I need are paint numbers for the correct colors. I have the numbers for paints made by WEM but they are in the UK and I suspect they are not latex. Would appreciate any help I can get.
