Hi:  I built the 1/700 scale Tamiya Enterprise and I found it to be a good kit, but I think that Trumpeter and Dragon 1/700 carriers are better and more detailed.  The Tamiya island is a little thin and the AA guns could use more detailing.  Adding PE parts will add to the look, and adding some more aircraft also makes it look better.  Lenny

I have not built that exact kit, but have looked at one in the box. As a Tamiya, it'll build up into a nice-looking model straight out of the box ... but adding an aftermarket PE set, say from Gold Medal Models, will definitely increase the "wow" factor.

Modelbuilder,i'm currently finishing it up and i found it to be a pretty good fit all around, but somethings with the kit aren't correct with the actual ship, once you get started doing research pics you'll see what i'm talking about.if you want to dress it up gold medal models makes some real good aftermarket for her,and decals.if you have any problem their customer care is outstanding.but if you need any help just send me email and i'll do what i can.

Copdre, that goes for you to don't hesitate to ask anything i'll try my best and what i can't help with the rest of the people here give excellent advice

I built it a long time ago when I was in college.  I thought it was a great kit and very enjoyable one to build.  I think you will enjoy it.

Hi all

I am normally a wing and tread guy but thaught I would take a break from those things and build the Tamiya USS Enterprise. I have had in the stash fort a while now. Is it a fairly decent kit right out of the box? Is there anything i need to be aware of?
