...My mistake, 'Slava' was built without side decks, not Alexander III....

All of the Borodinos were quite similar, with only very minor differences with two of the class of five.  Imperator Alexander III did not have the side decks on either side of the aft superstructure (more like Tsesarevitch).  The Slava had a pole mast forward, instead of the heavy military masts of the others.  Borodino, Suvarov and Orel were all the same.

Thanks again for the help (and Happy New year!)

Yes, this from the GreatModels web site:

 1/350Eastern Express EX41001 Borodino Russian Battleship$76.45

And Squadron has it on "sale" for 40$... you cam pick up the Zvezda kits for 20-25$. Sprue Brothers has it for 20$.  Thanks again for the help! Jim

I'm not sure if there are differences between the Zvezda kits. I think they're may be some minor differences, I'll have to double check.

PS: $70-80????

Thanks for the response.... yes, I was wondering, since the Eastern Express Borodino goes for 70-80 US$  and the Zvezda Borodino for 20-25$. Do you know if there is any significant difference (besides markins) between the three Zvezda offerings (Knyaz Suvorov #9026, Borodino #9027 and Oriol #9029)? Seems even the box art is identical.. thanks!

They are the same kit, same quality. Buy the Zvezda it's cheaper. No relation to any ICM kit.

...are they the same kit, ie, same mold derived from the old ICM?

Zvezda released its own Borodino Kit#9027 (all of the above are in 1:350). Is there any difference between the Eastern Express and Zvezda Borodino's?

Im not that familiar with the Russian pre-dreadnaughts, seems that the Borodino class BB only differed in few details? Does it make sense to build more than one from the class? If so,which one is recomended? thanks! Jim
