anybody seen the close up pics yet? its nice that they make this kit but they really should of done their homework to detail it. the model litteraly looks like a toy (at least the I-53) the freeflood slot are in a big V shape which is way off. the I-20 on the otherhand is off scale in its parts ,the tower in not in proportion to the hull.  hope they make a good IJN sub soon or we'll have to wait for a japanese companie to make a goodone. PS take note that the coningtower on the I-20's miget sub is glued on the wrong way!!! :( so far only the Nishimo I-19 the Scale Shipyard 1/48 B1class (HUGE) and the tamiya I-400 has been right on the spot in accuracy.

These are going to be a pair of big beasties. Almost five feet long (I-20 about 1/3 inch longer), and over 5 inches across.

Squadron is listing this as a presale for $117.00. With all the hoopla over the Revell kits, Lindberg must be jumping in the frey.  I'm suprised they beat Revell to it.

They are putting out this version also with the Kaiten "Kamikaze"
