My apologies, I tot you are wanting the latest reference to the Big 'E'. That website I've furnished have pics of ships in their most up to date, latest configuration. As for what you're asking for, let me look into what I have, I remember seeing it somewhere in some website. Will update you, once I find it.

You can check out this web site, very cool picture of all kinds of ships in the navy now including their aircraft. will take a while to load up unless you've got broadband.

If you write to the Navy Department's archives they will either send you some photo's of her or direct you to a vendor that can get more photo's of the time period you want. I have done that in the past with find info on the USS Enterprise, the first sailing ship to carry the name and the Heavy Cruiser USS Quincy CA-71.

USS Enterprise (CVAN-65) references????
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 3:29 AM
Hi to all...

I'm planning on building my Revell 1/720 USS Enterprise with the first F-14 Tomcat's deployment, and i was searching for some references, and end up buying the D&S Book for the Big E...
The issue is that this book covers the end 80's refitting more accuratelly and with far more detail photos, with only a few of the "beehive" stile ship (the one i'll do).
What i'm asking is if anyone knows (or have) any references of the D&S book, but for the mid 70's CVAN-65.
My problems are the details around the island, the island itself, and the landing deck platforms (LSO, Sea Sparrows, etc...)

If anyone could help with photos or references, i'll be greatly appreciated!!!!

Many thanks!!!!
