I'm gathering research for my 1/700 IJN Kimikawa Maru seaplane tender, which I want to paint in the dark gray and white scheme she wore for part of the Aleutian campaign. So far all I've come up with is one black and white pic of the starboard side, and it conflicts with other references (paintings/drawings). If anyone has a link to photos, or a pic of the port side, in this camo scheme, I would be grateful.
Also - did auxiliaries like this have the gold-toned Imperial chrysanthemum on the bow? I've found one color painting that seems to suggest so, but no color pics or even decent black and white ones.
