Thanks for the info. I was hung up mostly on the yellow, white adn red stripes that are on the decal sheet. The elevator decals I figured out. The link you sent pretty much points out the rest of the stripes.

Thanks again,

Here are some pics of a finished model by that same manufacturer. Should give you a good idea where most of the stripes go: http://www.modelshipgallery.com/gallery/cv/cv-66/800-mo/mo-index.html

USN guidelines for flight deck markings on modern aircraft carriers are pretty standard - red and yellow diagonal stripes outlining each elevator, red and white stripes for the "no aircraft between these lines" lines, and the big white and yellow stripe for the centerline of the landing area. Were there any particular stripes you're hung up on?

Decal placement/instructions
Posted by arivera_12 on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 12:46 PM

Hi Everyone,

I also posted this in the decaling forum but no replies, so I thoguht I'd try here. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have the 1/800 scale USS America from Kitech. Everything looks pretty good except there's no instructions on where to place the decals. They're numbered but the instructions don't show anything in regards to placement. I looked at the box art but not very helpful. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

 Thanks,

Tony Rivera
