If you're using generic etched railings, you may have some problems, but to a certain extent, these can be overcome by using several short lengths of railing. If, however, you are building the Tamiya 1/700 Indianapolis, then Gold Medal Models do a generic USN WW2 cruiser and destroyer etched set: http://www.modelwarships.com/reviews/pe/gm_etch/ca-dd-700/700uscldd.html which includes up-swept bow railing sections suitable for this model. Cheers, Chris.
