Oh my gawd! I can't wait to get that baby on my bench. My wife just asked if I'll get it done within a year or will this turn into a 2 year project like my Titanic.

More good news! I just recieved this today!

Hi Troy,

The best we can tell you is that it will be ready about 6
weeks after the kit is released. Since there's no firm
release date yet, we can't tell you precisely when our PE
will be ready.

Cheers,
John Snyder

You could always buy 2. One to practice on for, oh lets say, 6 weeks. LOL! Then build the 2nd one with the PE.

Looks like it may be a beautiful kit, especially with the detail kits. Oh, the aftermarket possibilities...

Fellas, I need some help here.

I've seen many films on the History channel about submarines and u-boats as they are being launched and underwarter shots.. None of them seem to have a painted lower hull with a waterline as I've seen many of the subs show their lower hulls while surfacing fast enough to raise the bow above the water.
Yet, many display models show a painted waterline. Does anyone know if the subs really had dual colors on the hull to show a waterline or is it just for displays.?

TIA
