How cool is that?

My father was a WWII vet who served as a anti-aircraft artillery crew member in the U.S. Army (1941-45 - Austrailia / New Guinea / Solomon Islands). Never made a big deal out of it, though it cost him five years (enlisted in Nov. '40) of his youth and some severe hearing loss.

It seems to me that the men I've met who fought in that war were almost universally humble about their contributions and yet proud of their country. It's too bad they're leaving us now.

God bless this gentleman and all those who served!

Notice how Mr. Brawdy has a HUGE smile on his face.  He deserves it.
