use thick tape 2layers since the paint sllips, do not remove unless dry... for the camo as the demarkation lines were usually sharp and straight

this would be a good woy to learn how to mask & use spray paint. get you a couple cans of spray paint & do reasearch on the camo pattern & use tape to mask over one portion & paint the other until you get a pattern that looks simulat to the realthing. I was about 9 or 10 when i firstnstarted doing this . i did not do that great of a job @ first but you have to start somewhere. best of luck

Always willing to help out the new guys. We all started somewhere...

I still have a Revell 1/72 B-24 I built when I was 9 or 10, spray painted with John Deere Green paint. I got whupped for using Dad's John Deere paint too... :-P

Now I have stuff in museums all over the world...it seems such a long time ago...

If you've painted the parts first use super glue to stick them togeather, it dosen't mess the paint up. Put a big drop of super glue in a clean yougurt lid or something then apply the glue (very little of it) with a toothpick or pin to the very spot that comes together. You'll be supprised at how much glue you don't need.

Best way to do a camo hull without an airbrush is as follows:

Paint your hull and superstructure before you glue them together.
Paint yout deck before you attach anything else to it.
Always paint the lightest colors first, then the darkest. as dark paint covers light paint easier than the other way around.

Take your time, and if you get frustrated, walk away from it for awhile.

Do you have the drawings of her camo pattern and the colors she wore? If not, head over to my website and look around in the gallery, there's a few models of Prince of Wales over there. www.modelwarships.com

The only tip I can give you is:

HAVE FUN!

That's what modelling is all about.
