Soar Art 144 scale Bismarck

From a couple of postings on Hyperscale, it is a pre-painted/pre-assembled injected plastic model (notice that I didn't say kit).

The head guy at 21st Century Toys (Roy Southerland??) said that he has one in the office. He has looked at it closely. He said that it is rough, not museum quality, and needs to be disassembled and rebuilt. 21st Century Toys didn't make the model.

Price will be in the 3 figure ballpark when you figure in shipping & handling.

Thanks for the insight.  I went back and took another look at the pics.  I see what you mean about the lack of detail.  The anti-aircraft guns look really crude, and the ladders are molded into the superstructure.  Think I'll save my money and stay away from that one.

The Bismarck in 1/144 scale is available as a ready built up model made of resin and metal in museum quality by Soar Art for an estimated price of about USD 5999.00

 

The same manufacturer is it that brought out the Dora railwaygun in 1/35 and is NOW working on the Bismarck in 1/144 as a plastic injection molded K I T !

DO NOT mix it up with an r/c version by a chinese manufacturer distributed by Jamara in Germany, that is compared to the kit, a "rough idea" of the Bismarck. This one is actually 1/150 scale. We have both Bismarck in our range.

Everything else is not correct.

We will offer these kits here in the USA for a preorder price of USD 999,- as of today.

We can also provide pics of the prototype in Nuremberg at the Toy Fair which was NOT made of plastic injection molded parts ! It was meant to give an impression of what to expect. Expect not less than what the Dora railway gun provided to its customers. NONE of our more than one hundred customers were unhappy with their Dora.

I have built the 1/35 Dora railgun, Soar Art made a good model with fair detail. No decals and lots of delays in production . The plastic of the kit responded well with Tenax. Good subject, well packed, high price.
