I don't know what class of ship I'm looking for but would like to build one, I like the lines. Can any one help in my search. Please and thank you.

Do you have a picture, or a movie in mind? Or a specific set of islands. It would probably be a pretty colorful subject.

Loose Cannon Productions has a number of civilian ship kits, including two that could pass as tramp or interisland steamers, and one modern small container ship: http://home.earthlink.net/~loosecannonproductions/index-civ.html

I've built several of their kits. They are all well molded and generally include a PE fret so there's nothing else to buy.

Seeing these models instantly reminded me of one day in 2005 that I spent sitting on a bank, high, maybe 200 feet above sea level, at the entrance of Hong Kong Harbor. I was amazed at the sight of a steady stream of cargo ships or all sizes and registrations that were coming and going from the harbor. It is quite a sight.

I think you could re-work the Revell Glasgow tanker into a generic "three island freighter".  Add some hatches, lifting tackle, change the stack and you could be most of the way there.  Here's an HO kit available:
