Help with LSO Platform for USS Bogue....

I'm currently building a 1/700 Bogue class, USS Card, with PE.  For whatever reason, my "3D spatial understanding" meter is not working and I cannot figure out how to build or where exactly to place the LSO net and platform.

The bending part is easy, but the instructions/guide is kickin' my butt on the rest. 

Any help or pictures would be much appreciated.
