I brush painted for years and then finally joined the airbrush crowd.  I found it really easy to use and loved the results, especially over fine detail.

When I did the hull for my USS Arizona with an airbrush I wondered how I EVER did without!!!

Necessary? No...   Convenient? Yes...   A better finish? Probably
