Need help finding a ship model for my Father in law
Posted by J2D on Saturday, May 3, 2008 10:29 PM

My father in law served on the USS Josephus Daniels, DLG 27 (CG 27) Guided Missle Destroyer.  It was a Belknap class ship.  I've seen pictures of an uncompeted model but I don't know who made it.  Any help would be appreciated.

He mentioned how much he would like to find a model of his ship.

This was the one I had found, but it made no mention of who the kit was by.

From the photos of the model on the Daniels website, the parts breakdown looks to be similar to those shown on the Iron Shipwright/Commanders Series link.

The ISW kit is 1:350 scale,  like the one mentioned on the Daniels site.   The decal sheet for the Horne (CG30) has numbers & name for the Daniels (CG27).

Contact Jon Warneke or Ted Paris of Iron Shipwright via the Commanders Website for details

J2D, the 2nd link would have shown you who probably did the kit as they make them.

Thanks all, I've emailed Commander Series to see where I can find one.
