Ooops; sorry. I should have said: "White Ensign" for the gun body pieces, not Gold Medal Models.

Cringe,

Tirpitz reference books needed

Hey Guys:

For my Tamiya 1/350 Tirptiz, and on which I am picking and choosing between the Eduard, Gold Medal Model, and White Ensign PE sets, I'm looking for used copies of the Polish AJ Press Publications of Pancerniki Typu Bismark cz 1 - 5, also numbered (so I am told) under the Encyklopedia Okretow Wojennych 15 - 19. I will pay. (I've got the Wiper, Koop, and a coupl'a others but none give good enough superstructure detail.)

Incidentally, for the quad AA guns, using the great and easy-to-work with steel Eduard frames but substituting the Gold Medal Models Kriegsmarine AA gun bodies and barrels (CA'd on top of the Eduard gun frames), turns out real nice. Not so 2D and the barrels are more in scale (longer) and with the proper flared tips.

Not every PE set is perfect - there are some glaring errors in each (2nd'y gun rear access doors are 1/700 scale in Eduard!) - but each has its neat points.

 Thanx!
