Hello,

I am looking to get that kit myself. What colors and what paint did you use on the sub?

Thanks, George

My time spent building has been nil for the past year or so, so i thought I'd take on a relatively easy project to try and get back in the swing of things.  I'm usually a 1/48 airplane guy, but have built the 1/72 Revell Type VII and I like ww2 subs, so I thought I'd have a go at a Gato.

Trumpeter 1/144 1944 Gato 212 with White Ensign 4"/50, 40mm, and 2 20mm guns.  I know the periscope arrangement/sd radar isn't quite right for ss-212 after her 1944 refit, but oh well, close enough for me.

Here's where I'm at, plus 2 shots of the guns placed on the deck.  I need to figure out what I'm going to use for the deck rails, glue the conning tower, guns, and remaining odds and ends on, and weather the boat some still.
