                        Here's the official news from Italeri's export sales manager who I met yesterday at the Shanghai Hobby Expo:

                        Italeri will release their new S-100 in September.

                        They displayed the first article sample of the hull. What I saw looked VERY nice with riveting around the torpedo tubes & nicely molded features such as exhaust, intake & discharge ports in the hull, but was told final tooling revision work was being done before production starts this summer.

                        Ya know what guys?

                        Even though I would LOVE to have that kit ... I have no room for a 1:35 S-100 ... That Revell 1:72 kit barely fits on my shelf.

                        Thanks for the heads up........hopefully they will be able to get it out before Christmas!

                        Wonder what the msrp will be with fuel prices etc coming into play now and what's projected...
