Well I got the 44 version.It came in the mail today and I see only two things that are missing from it.One is the windows on the catiplut turrets and the other is the extra luanch they had on aft deck on top of the hanger.They also did replace the depth charge rack with the smoke generators for the fan tail.I can't wait to get started on these to ships and looking at them I wish my dad was alive to see me put them together,Digger.

You are doing a wonderful job on this model! I have always liked the American Treaty Heavy Cruisers as being particularly graceful warships. You are bringing this quality to your model. Good luck with the rigging!

Good report! One thing I noted was the lack of hits or explosions below the waterline, indicating just how close the range was for the shells to be flying in such a flat trajectory.....

I really like the paint job. I made mine right after it was released and built it straight from the box. It looks pretty good even without the aftermarket stuff being available. The paint job drove me nuts. I must have used nearly 30 shades of blue and grays to get the effect represented on the kit painting guide. Yours is looking really really good and I am curious to see how much the photo etch adds especially when it cost as much as the model. Thanks for sharing.
